What is Marine Cargo Insurance?

Marine cargo insurance provides protection of goods from physical loss and/or damage when they are in transit whether during import, export or inland transit.

What does Marine Hull Insurance cover?

Marine Hull Insurance covers physical damage to a ship (the hull and machinery) caused due to various named perils. The most important ones covered are: Perils of the sea, Fire, Explosion, Theft, Piracy, Jettison, Earthquake, Volcanic Eruption, and physical damage caused due to negligence of the master, officers, crew or pilots.

Why buy Motor Insurance?

Motor Insurance gives protection to the vehicle owner against (i) damages to his/her vehicle and (ii) Third Party Liability determined as per law against the owner of the vehicle. Third party insurance is a statutory requirement. The owner of the vehicle is legally liable for any injury or damage to third party life or property caused by or arising out of the use of the vehicle in a public place.
